Wow, January really flew by! I can’t believe it’s February and we are gearing up for Valentine’s Day. I wanted to share a few gift ideas for your little ones. The list includes a mixture of easy crafts, treats, or low cost gifts perfect for those sweet little valentines in your lives.
1. Books – I love all the love in these little books! We have a few of these and the rest I’ve picked up for this Valentine’s Day.
- Little Blue Truck Valentine – Our kids love the Little Blue Truck Books.
- Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse
- Love from Bluey – We can’t get enough of Bluey in our house!
- Llama Llama I Love You – my toddler adores the Llama Llama books
- The Invisible String – an excellent book to help little ones deal with separation anxiety or loss but really celebrates love in general. Can’t say enough great things about this book and its message.
2. Heart Shaped Snack Bowls or these little heart cups are another great option for toddlers. Something about a new bowl or container really excites my kiddos, even if the snack option is the same old goldfish crackers.
3. Homemade Heart Shaped Treats – heart shaped cupcakes or candies are always a win in my house and easy to do.
- Heart shaped candy molds – super easy treat by just melting chocolate chips and a little coconut oil to create a delicious chocolate heart.
- Heart shaped cupcake/muffin liners – any muffin or cupcake recipe works here! The kids will love that it’s in the heart shape.
- Pretzel candies – we make versions of these at Christmas time but for Valentine’s Day, grab a bag of pretzels, Rolos, and these large heart shaped sprinkles for an easy treat even your toddlers can help prepare.
- Recipe
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
- Arrange the pretzels in one layer onto a large cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
- Unwrap the Rolos and place one at the center of each pretzel
- Place the cookie sheet in the oven for 2-3 minutes
- Take the sheet out of the oven and immediately press down on top of the Rolo with your candy heart (the Valentine’s Day M&Ms work great too!)
- Allow time for your treats to cool before enjoying!
4. Valentine’s Day Treat Bags – Cute little treat bags for your littles or to fill with candy for those class parties or just because. Attach a card and you are good to go! If you want something put together, these bags with toy shovels are an adorable option.
5. Pajamas – these Little Sleepie’s jammies are super soft, great for those with sensitive skin, and no tags! I also really enjoy the Hanna Andersson pajamas and these are a cute not too pink option (and bonus these are great for kiddos with sensitive skin too!)
