On my recent trip to Mexico, I packed a minimal amount of makeup as I knew I would be out in the sun for most of the day and wouldn’t want to spend too much time fussing with makeup that may just sweat off. One item that came in clutch on this trip was my new liquid blush . Here, I’ve provided my honest review of the Nars Afterglow Liquid Blush makeup in the shade Orgasm.
General Thoughts
Wow this product is a 10/10 in my book and I am so happy that I finally purchased it. I had my eye on it for some time but I was pretty happy with my Ilia Multi-Stick Cream Blush in the shade Tenderly. It did the job and I liked the versatility of that product so I didn’t think I needed another blush option.
I was wrong! I knew that I wanted to get back to a more subtle pink shade but I wanted one that would offer a pop of shimmer and Orgasm does. This shade offers a peachy pink with a subtle golden shimmer. So pretty and gives you just the right amount of that flushed looked. Since college, I’ve had the Nars Powder Blush in my makeup bag but a few months ago my daughter dropped it on the tile floor causing it to shatter. Very devastating. I was waiting to purchase a new one and thought I might as well try the liquid version.
How to Apply
This blush is very buildable which allows you to almost customize how intense you want the color. The formula is a little more on the sheer side versus other super pigmented liquid blush formulas. If you want subtle, apply a small amount of the product to the back of your hand and then use your fingertips to lightly apply to your cheeks. I prefer to apply with the wand directly on my cheeks and then to use a blush brush to blend it in.
Product Formulation
The formula is packed with hyaluronic acid, vegan collagen, and vitamin E so it provides a lot of hydration. It’s not greasy by any means and stays put for up to 8 hours according to the packaging. It also does not feel sticky at all or that it may rub off (an issue with my Ilia product).
Hope you like this product as much as I do!
