Spring is here! If you are in the midwest like I am then you are well aware that we may have a few more weeks of fluctuating temperatures (summer to winter vibes all in the span of a few hours anyone?). Really hoping we are well on our way to consistent warmer days. One thing that will stay consistent about this time of year is the kick off to wedding season. I only have a few this spring but looking forward to dressing up for a change. It’s always nice to get out of the usual work wear gear and momiform.

Color Story

Bright barbie pink and sunshiny yellow dresses have caught my eye as of late. Pink has been everywhere this season with Pantone even naming Viva Magenta as color of the year. Generally, I do not gravitate towards bright colors but you got to branch out every now and again, right? Loving all of these options for a spring wedding including acrylic clutches and bright colored heels for accessories. Now I just need a few extra events to attend and I’ll be all set!

What I Wore

After a few try ons, I opted for the bright, sunshiney yellow Acler dress. This dress was super fun and vibrant! A bit of tailoring was required as the straps were super long for my 5’1 frame. I styled it with a very old fold-over Clare V. clutch (similar), Larroude heels, and these fun Shashi blossom earrings. The shoes need their own special shout out as it was my first time wearing them and I was shocked by how comfortable they were. After a little research, I learned Larroude shoes are specially made so that the landing for the top of the foot is wider and the shoe has a cloud cushion in the footbed. I was out on the dance floor quite a bit too so they got a great test. I will definitely buy more from this brand as the quality has a very luxury feel to them. Hope this lends some inspo for your spring event!

Xoxo
